Hello everyone, my name is Kathryn Welch. I will be putting updates to this blog that will help someone get started with an online business. I know that you have seen a lot of blogs out there that say this but I really do want to help you since the reason you want and probably need this is because you are probably like me.

• Tired of working for someone else
• Working your butt off for very little
• Stressing out from the day to day turmoil

That is why I am giving back to people.

There are quite a few things that you need to consider to start an online business. I will try and cover what I can. If I don't know the information, I will find out and post a url for you to find the information.

I will tell you the way I started online. I have paid out quite a bit and do not have the money to keep paying out. That is the reason for this blog.

The biggest thing for an online business is TRAFFIC! No traffic, No business! That sums it up in a nutshell!
There are different ways to get traffic to your site. I will point out a few here and post new blogs with more information.

1. Classified Ads - Writing small ads about what you have to offer to a potential customer. Then placing those ads on sites where people can read them, click on them and visit your site.
   
2. Articles - Writing articles of information that you are familiar with. Having a link about you coming back to your main website. Posting those articles on sites that offer article posting. You can find those sites by doing a search on sites that offer article posting.
3. Safelists - By joining a safelist so you can send your ad out to people that have requested information on certain subjects. This way you will not be accused of spam.
4. Trafficsites - Surfing sites from other people. This gives you a chance for them to surf and view your site in return.
5. Paid To Click sites - Joining sites that pay you to look at ads from other sites. You also post your site as well. PTC is the abbreviation for this.
   
6. Leads - Buying leads from sites and sending out emails to targeted people that request information.
7. Word of mouth- Telling your friends and other associates about your site.
8. Blogging - Starting a blog with your site included in the blog.

These are just a few and I will go into detail more as we go along. If you do not have a site the best place to start is with a blog. Then you can get a site down the road.
